“On this trip, we let Peter know well in advance that we so enjoyed the previous tours and very much enjoyed what he had shown us. This time he had total discretion in planning the only day we had in Sydney. He organized a very simple day trip which included a boat ride up the Hawkesbury River and lunch at the marina at Bobbins Head. Of course, the spectacular sunny weather with blue skies to the moon and moderate temperatures certainly enhanced the experience. Late March to early April was a great time to do this. We asked Peter to join us for lunch and again – it was like visiting with a family member. Easy and pleasant conversation with a man who truly loves his city and truly loves his job. What better way to spend a day on vacation?”

“Peter’s tour of the northern beaches was fantastic! His last minute accommodation of our family including my father’s recent foot injury was spot on and we had a wonderful day. The ferry ride to Bobbin Head was beautiful and relaxing and I would highly recommend taking this private tour for anyone, especially if you want a guide who is obviously very knowledgeable and proud of their home town. Wouldn’t trade this experience for anything!”

“Peter’s slogan, “tours for people who don’t like tours” caught my attention when I was searching for day tours out of Sydney. And, I really wasn’t interested in sharing my day with a huge bus load of strangers. More and more, I enjoy spending the extra money for private or semi private tours. I enjoy the conversation and learning about places I never would have known about on my own. Peter drove to great views and planned varied activities. The trip to the northern beaches included a one way ferry ride through some very gorgeous scenery. We even saw some Aboriginal ground engravings. None of all of this would I ever known about to be able to do on my own. Peter was a great guide and enjoyable companion for the day”

“The trip up is via some of the spectacular, little-known northern beaches before arriving at Palm Beach. From there, Peter puts you on a ferry (top tip from Peter – it’s privately run so bringing a quiet beer or two for the journey is a great idea) to Bobbin Head. The ferry ride is 1.5 hrs of meandering through the Hawkesbury, via Patonga. The captain of the ferry commentates the journey through a wilderness pretty much untouched by modern bulldozers. When this pleasant trip ends, Peter is waiting to take you to lunch at the excellent Galley Foods café”

“He dropped us at the palm beach ferry loaded up with snacks and a quiet drink. the ride to Bobbin Head was glorious with HILARIOUS commentary from the captain! Peter greeted us at the other end with a big grin and a lunch reservation. Bobbin Head was glorious spot for young and old and Peter knows his food stops”

“A leisurely drive up the peninsula, followed by a ferry ride up to Bobbin Head, which took a little under two hours. Breathtaking scenery. Breathtaking. And the cutest ferry ever. We were up on the top deck under the canopy with glorious sunshine all around us. Then Peter took us to a fantastic little bistro next to the water. Peter’s transportation is a very high quality van with all the mod-cons, including seats that swivel, so you can be very social while on the move. Great tour”

“Peter showed us a range of the great sight of the Northern Beaches, he let us say how many stops and was very informative about the surround and history of the area.  Peter dropped us at the Ferry as he had described and he went onto the Bobbin Head in the bus, while we had a delightful boat ride around West Head, on to Patonga. From Patonga we headed up Broken Bay, saw Sea Eagles and other wildlife along the way. The Skipper of the ferry pointed out many of the interesting point and bays that make up the journey. The trip up to Bobbin Head is worth seeing. Once you are into Broken Bay it is extremely sheltered and a stress free travel (as was the drive)”

“Peter picked us up on time in his very clean and comfortable van. He drove us to a lovely lookout spot between Avalon and Bilgola beach. We all thought it was beautiful.  We then headed to Palm Beach where we took the ferry to Bobbin Head. The ferry ride was just under 2 hours on a lovely sunny day. Peter wasn’t on the ferry with us. Instead he drove around to meet us at the other end of the ride. The scenery was beautiful and relaxing. It set the mood for a lovely lunch at Bobbin Head. He then drove us to West Head in the late afternoon. Which was just beautiful with the sun lazily starting to set”
